Noel's Affection

A wreath hanging on the door,
Along with a handsel on the floor,
The mystery errants in the lure,
It is so absolute and pure,
A gift is a true love for the one I adore.

Beneath a tree of mistletoe,
A sparrow and another soul,
Sings a carol and dances on his own,
Forgetting the woes and all the sorrows,
Holding the one I love so close.

I wish it snows and then a Christmas white,
Catching snowflakes throughout the Silent night,
Clasping myself to you and you clinch mine,
Dismiss the crackers but the stars that glisten in the sky,
I see the detail of my life in your eyes that emit lights.

It ain't no surprise our love is a splendor,
We ain't got any luxuries but we make wonders,
Like how the Lord lights up my candle,
I found one keen, witty and pretty lass in a quiet wrapper,
Yeah I dated her since last year's 1st of September.

We are moving on and we seem to be content,
Counting nights that elapsed before I see you then,
